Protect Yourself from Identity Theft
Want to know if anyone is stealing or has stolen your identity? Check your own public record profile for accuracy and protect yourself from identity theft before it's too late. Identity theft is on the rise and could ruin your credit rating. If you think your identity has been stolen, here are a few things you can do:
- Contact the fraud departments of any one of the three consumer reporting companies to place a fraud alert on your credit report.
- Close the accounts that you know or believe have been tampered with or opened fraudulently.
- File your complaint with the FTC.
